Best Restaurants on Folly Beach

Many visitors come to Charleston just for the food. However, good food isn’t just found downtown. In just about every corner of the Charleston area there is good food to be found, and Folly Beach is no exception.

Folly Beach isn’t just the best beach for surfers, it’s one of the best beaches in South Carolina for food and drinks. Folly Beach is its own little island town equipped with tons of great restaurants and bars. Here are some of our favorites:

Chico Feo

Chico Feo is tucked away from Center Street (the main thoroughfare of Folly Beach). Located at 122 E. Ashley Avenue, this quaint spot is a local gathering spot. Chico Feo has a very east coast meets west coast vibe. If you are looking for a chic restaurant, then this isn’t for you. The seating is all outdoors and very laid back—no shirts or shoes required at this establishment! The menu changes seasonally and includes a variety of tacos like a mahi taco, house smoked pork taco and taco pollo. Chico Feo also features tons of local beers and local wines on tap. So if you looking a great lunch spot to chill out between surfing sessions, or a place to grab a beer after hitting the waves, Chico Feo is for you.

Jack of Cups

Jack of Cups Saloon is located right in the middle of Folly Beach at 34 Center Street. Jack of Cups offers diners eclectic food at an affordable price. The menu is made from scratch daily and the menu changes each season. Jack of Cups is truly a foodie’s dream. With seating both inside and outside, it’s a perfect year-round dining spot.  Jack of Cups makes a great gathering spot for friends and family visiting Folly Beach and the Charleston area, and locals a like.

Ritas

Located right across the street from the Ocean, Rita’s offers diners a variety of local flavors. Come sandy from the beach or showered and dressed up, either way you are bound to have a memorable experience at Rita’s. Located at 2 Center Street, Rita’s frequently has live music playing on their dog-friendly patio. With the team from notable restaurants including Hall’s Chophouse and High Cotton behind the menu, the food is definitely high quality.
