One of our favorite paths to the beach on Folly
Folly Beach has many secluded and hidden gems. Most of the people who head to the beach tend to gravitate towards the pier and other popular locations but if you look for it you can find empty stretches of the beach with awesome walk ways. We spend most of our time at 5W where we teach, but when were surfing or just hanging or surfing we stray from the beaten path.
Charleston really is a special place. We have an amazing city in terms of architecture, history, food, art, and of course our surf scene. We also have access to many beautiful beaches. We have Sullivan's Island just north of downtown and Folly Beach just south. It can be tough to find some peace and quiet as the city is growing so rapidly but if you make a little effort you can find awesome nooks and crannies.
Speaking of neature, we have had some amazing weather these last few weeks and yesterday we had a crazy storm come into Charleston. Our camps and lessons have been so fun and we are looking forward to many more busy weeks. We love meeting people from all over the world and introducing them to the joy of surfing. We also may have a little swell this coming week so keep your fingers crossed and hope the wind cooperates. Hope everyone gets out there for a surf this week!
