Update from P.R. - Headed back to Charleston soon!
The Isla crew decided to take a quick trip to Puerto Rico before our peak season starts. We came down here with some Isla instructors and a bunch of our Charleston buddies and have been scoring some insane waves.
Our first day here was tiny and almost not surfable. We surfed a fun beach break and got a nice little warm up for the real swell. We woke up to double to triple over head waves the next day. We caught some of the best waves of our lives that morning and ever since Monday it has been pumping non-stop. We surfed some right point breaks for hours and found some fun novelty waves when the wind got on it in the afternoon.
(Here are some random Gopro shots, no surfing but still easy on the eyes)
The trip was a huge success and it's still not over. We have a few more days and even though the swell is dying it's still unbelievably fun. The crew blew off some steam and now its time for an epic summer in Charleston teaching. We have our after school program starting up in April with plenty of private lessons also already booked. Then our summer kicks off in full force in June with the start of our kids summer camp and tons of private and group lessons already on the books. We also have tees, hats, and stickers coming in during these next two weeks so look out for some Isla swagggggg. Excited to get back to Charleston! See everybody soon!
